Abstract:
Stanley Ho exploited a 40-year gambling monopoly in Macau to emerge as one of the wealthiest and most influential men in Asia. Ho used his advantage to spread his sphere of activities to every major industry in Macau. In 2001, when Ho's gambling monopoly expired and gambling licenses were awarded to two more companies, Ho faced competition from world-class adversaries.
